Island Coast Pediatrics Achieves NCQA Recognition

Island Coast Pediatrics strives to make a positive impact in the lives of the children and families we serve. As your child’s medical home, we will provide you and your family with a Patient Centered approach for your child’s health care needs.

We are pleased to announce that The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) informed our practice that we have received NCQA Recognition from their Patient-Centered Medical Home program.

What is a Patient-Centered Medical Home?

It is a model of care in the primary care setting that emphasizes high quality healthcare including care coordination, improved communication, and patient/family participation. Research has proven that medical homes lead to higher quality care and improve patient experiences.

“The patient-centered medical home raises the bar in defining high-quality care by emphasizing access, health information technology and partnership between clinicians and patients,” said NCQA President Margaret E. O’ Kane.

PCMH Recognition shows that Island Coast Pediatrics has the tools, systems, and resources to provide their patients with the right care at the right time.
