FINANCIAL POLICIES

We participate in several managed care plans including HMO’s and PPO’s. Please call or click here for the list of the insurance listing. If we are a provider for your insurance, we will file all of your claims for you. If we are not, please let us know and we will look into possibly contracting with your insurance carrier. Please feel free to contact our billing department staff if you have any questions about insurance plans or billing.

 

Some insurance companies frequently change product types, policies, etc.; therefore our staff will routinely ask if there are changes to your insurance. We may ask to see your insurance card at each visit. For HMO coverage, one of our providers must be listed as your child’s PCP. If you cannot present your card upon check-in, you may be responsible for payment at the time of service. If you have a change in your phone number, address, or insurance, it is very important that you notify us as soon as possible.

Your insurance plan may restrict you to specific hospitals or diagnostic facilities or require you to receive authorization prior to diagnostic evaluations or hospitalizations. We may not have access to your specific benefit policies; therefore, it is important for you to be aware of your plan's coverage provisions.

Charges incurred are the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian bringing the child in to be seen. If a patient 18 years of age is seen in the office unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian, the patient is responsible for all charges incurred that day.

If we bill your insurance and the claim gets denied or your insurance company does not respond to our claim requests after 30 days, the claim may be rejected and a bill will be sent to you for payment in full. If your claim is denied, you may call your insurance company and inquire as to the delay or reason for non-payment. Your insurance company may consider some services not medically necessary or “non-covered benefits”. Again, please know, it is your responsibility to know which services are covered under your insurance benefits.

We appreciate your payment at the time of service for all co-payments, coinsurance & deductibles. For your convenience, we accept either Cash, Checks, MasterCard, Discover or Visa. We understand dealing with insurance and financial matters can be difficult at times, therefore, please know, our staff will make every effort to assist you when possible.
